Ploughman's Dinner
Kinda, sorta a Ploughman’s Lunch style dinner.
We still had a fair bit of left over ham-hock terrine, romesco, sauerkraut, gherkins (in vinegar) & beetroot (simply cooked, not in vinegar). I then made a salad (with a simpe sherry vinegar & balsamic & garlic vinaigrette), toasted some bread, cut up some extra mature cheddar, and put it all out on the table to serve (family style?).
L & I really liked it I think. I was pretty full suprisingly quickly, but it was a good variety of stuff, and definitely a bit of a different meal. Felt a bit summery, but the weather isn’t exactly cold yet.
G was good about it, eating everything I served him, but not his favourite meal or style of meal I feel.
I think he’ll like tomorrow’s dinner better (one more pork dish before we take a big break!!).
