We were entertaining a young fussy eater today, so we went for a walk at lunch time down in to Soho and Chinatown to buy some groceries. We shopped at Loon Fung, buying a bunch of frozen dumplings, some lap cheong for some other nights and some fresh cha siu bao from their fridges.

The dim sum / yum cha selection from their freezers has been a bit of a revelation over the lockdown, when we couldn’t go get our fix from the restaurants in Chinatown. Just with a steamer (we do it over the thermomix) you can get pretty good results from their bao and various dumpling selections.

Anyway, we got G & his friend Cha Siu Bao with Beef & Celery Dumplings tonight. Luckily it all went well (as the fussy eater really is a just-sit-there-and-mope-without-eating style fussy eater..).
