Tomato and Red Lentil Soup

https://www.easypeasyfoodie.com/tomato-and-red-lentil-soup/ Tomato and red lentil soup tonight. Something similar to the linked recipe, but without following a recipe as such.

Cha Siu Bao and Beef and Celery Dumplings

We were entertaining a young fussy eater today, so we went for a walk at lunch time down in to Soho and Chinatown to buy some groceries.

Breaded Cod and Scottish Scampi

A super simple, no real preparation, meal tonight. Bought some scampi and cod from M&S, put them in the oven for the appropriate amount of time and made a super simple salad.

Pasta With Italian Sausage

https://www.onceuponachef.com/recipes/orecchiette-sausage-broccoli.html Another version of the orecchiette with kale I did last week.

Leftover Roast Chook

So pretty dull update, but we had leftover roast chook tonight with a simple salad.

Basil Pesto

https://cookieandkate.com/how-to-make-basil-pesto/ I made basil pesto today, very similar to the attached recipe, although I’ve made it many many many times, so that I don’t follow a recipe as such any more (That said, yes, it is grated parmesan / grana padano, grated first in the blender, then pine nuts, garlic, basil leaves, olive oil, blitz the hell out of them and you’re done).

Beef Nachos

A simple beef nachos. Something like https://www.bettycrocker.com/recipes/easy-beef-nachos/4e56033b-98db-4b07-aa12-0e0ccf01a083 except: No Old El Paso anything, my own spice mix (ie Cumin, Vegeta, probably other things) for the beef, shredded Cheddar with a bit of shredded Mozzarella instead of Monterey Jack.

Roast Chook

We love roast chook. The best thing to understand about most roasting is:

Chimichurri Steak
