My SIL M gave us a massive amount of vegetables (like, seriously massive- probably much better quantity for her family of five adults than our little household).
L has lost her sense of taste & smell, so food isn’t a priority right now.
I got four chicken marylands (leg with thigh on), brined them overnight, then sous vide them at 74c for 3 hours.
I needed to use a bunch of potatoes, so decided a big cast iron pan cooked hash brown or potato rosti would be the go.
Simple Chinese noodle soup made with the braising liquid from the lamb shoulder for the shepherd’s pie.
Or shepherd’s pie :) I followed something quite close to this:
Super quick and easy prosciutto tortellini with a tomato & basil sauce and a salad.
A simple half duck from Lidl, with pancakes and hoisin. They’re actually pretty good.
This is probably the simplest, easiest meal with regularly eat.
